First, this was bad timing to even pass something so ridiculous. As you know, we have suffered from gun violence on a nation wide scale, and last year Dylann Roof took 9 beautiful lives away because he hated their skin color. Racism and guns do not mix well. This year, recently, a couple days before you passed this, a massacre happened in Orlando, where a man committed a hate crime against the LGBT+ community. Second, people have been taking their guns into these places regardless of it being legal or not, and I'm sure the bar/restaurant owners either don't know or don't care. Third, they'll still drink. You can't monitor everyone's behavior, and saying "well they're not allowed to drink" to make it seem better, does not make it better. Also, with making training and education no longer a requirement for them, makes it even more dangerous for themselves, and our communities. Guns aren't here for protection, they're made to kill and harm other people. Promoting something that has been so fragile recently, is beyond mind boggling, and I feel bad for the future of our country...but I'll be here to fix it.
