I am an immigrant to the United States, and during my 56 years in this country have tried to honor my new home by doing the "right thing". You have so much more power than I do, and I urge you to use that power to get rid of that symbol of hate, the confederate flag that flies in your capital.
Please take a courageous stand, and take the lead in honoring the nine dead citizens of your state and the U.S.A. by championing the removal of the flag. You can be a shining example of conciliation and hope. Please use that power!
