we have been trying for 2 days to get from Myrtle beach to Charleston. Understand road closures due to the weather. Cannot understand the complete lack of accurate info from the SC dot. The entire system is inaccurate, The map has not indicated any closures in 3 days. The local police departments refer you to 511, which does not answer, ever. The list of road closures is updated after the media reports it. 
The entire system is an embarrassment. We have friends from  California with us and they cannot beleive it. I have used the 511 system in Georgia and it is much better, just copy it. Pls get invovled in this, it's ridiculous in this day and age, you cannot get accuarte info from the Dot.
