Columbia, S. C. – Governor Jim Hodges today announced the formation of the South Carolina Education Roundtable. The Education Roundtable will focus on educational "best practices" and policy development. The first meeting will be held Monday, August 19 from 1-3 p.m. in Room 105 of the Gressette Building, located in the Capitol complex.
“We’re making solid progress in South Carolina,” Hodges said, “but we don’t have a body where all of the state’s education stakeholders can come together and discuss issues and possible solutions. We need a bipartisan group where everybody’s rowing together toward a common goal, rather than pulling in different directions.”
