SC NG (RET).I understand you are a very busy person, I will keep this brief. I served in the military close to 10 years. Since 2008, I served SC NG. I have multiple deployments to Iraq, have been awarded the Combat Action Badge, and the Purple Heart. The reason for my email is for two things. I recently had to take an early retirement from the SC NG, this was something that was long coming, unfortunately I had to leave my love, and my passion. The military made me whole. I would like to ask if I would be able to request a SC flag that has been flown over the capital? And I would like to propose an individual (state) recognition award for Purple Heart recipients, the same concept the state of Texas has; something to honor the sacrifice a guardsmen endured, whether life or injuries. Yes, as a Purple Heart recipient we are recognized federally, but how does our mother state recognize us? I am very grateful for your time Governor
