I had an over the phone appeal with the tribunal 108.195.248.18 Governor, This is in "coat tail" to many, many emails to you, your office, constituents, the state of South Carolina, the SC Workforce, and the SC workforce appeal tribunal. Synopsis: your disaster unemployment assistant order. I was denied your disaster unemployment benefits for the October 2015 flooding. I met all requirements and played all the paper and mind games from the state. I did a written appeal and had a phone appeal hearing with the director. Even then I was denied the benefits based on the premise that "because I am retired, I was ineligible for the benefits." Well, after coming back from the holidays I spoke to another person who works with me. She is 69 years old, receives retirement benefits, and was paid by SC Workforce on December 1, 2015 by direct deposit to her bank money for the October 2015 executive order made by you for Disaster Unemployment. How is this possible? Why was I turned down but she received money? I was told directly, "human to human" from Columbia that because I retired and receive a retirement check each month that I was not getting anything from the Nicky Haley disaster unemployment executive order. Think I have the makings of a law suit????? She went to unemployment and they tried to do the same to her. She asked for the documentation that states what her retirement had to do with your order. They could not supply her with that. I am now requesting from your office, the SC Workforce the same information to which I was turned down for. Where in the law does your executive order have to do with my retirement benefits? How is it connected? Angry SC Citizen. Victim of unfair business practices. It just proves how no one knows what the laws are or how to use them.
