In a press conference at the plant, you said that you would not let the plant close over a power contract. Santee Cooper and Century have yet to reach an agreement and now it's down to the wire. Century wants to go out of state for Cheaper power, but Santee Cooper won't allow that to happen. An article surfaced yesterday, however, that Santee Cooper will be providing a town in North Carolina power at a cheaper rate than Duke Electric. Santee Cooper's reasoning for not allowing Century to get outside power is because they will lose 13 million dollars a year. I'm sure when they agreed to supply power to the North Carolina town at a cheaper rate, they did not think that Duke Electric would be losing money. I ask that you please consider stepping in and get this issue resolved quickly. Not only will the 600 employees of Century Aluminum be out of a job, but there will be hundreds more that this plant closing will effect. Thank you for you time and consideration. Sincerely, LeeAnne Pace
