As an active RN for nearly 40 years and currently practicing in South Carolina, this Bill concerns me. I understand that nurses who are negligent while practicing must face the consequences. But, to have a bill that specifically addresses the over medicating or under medicating of a patient by a nurse who misreads a physician's order as a ground to revoke the nurse's license is not necessary. There are malpractice laws that protect the patient. Please do not allow the Nurse Practice Act to be amended by this Bill.
