On Saturday, the SPCA sent out an urgent call for people to come and help. The shelter was flooding and they needed people to come and take an animal so that it would be safe. Many people showed up to help out. So many that cars were parked along side the road of Hwy 78. The Shell gas station located on the corner of Richardson Ave and Hwy 78 called Carolina Towing Company to have the vehicles removed from Hwy 78. The towing company demanded $250.00 per vehicle, when people complained the towing company raised the price an additional $75.00. This information can be confirmed by Live 5 News. Governor, this is animal cruelty. People were opening their homes and hearts to animals that may have well died. Shell was way out of line, and this towing company was taking advantage of an emergency situation. Your prompt attention to this is necessary. The gas station and the towing company need to be criminally charged and should pay any towing fees that people paid in order to save an animal. Maybe you should lock them in a kennel and let them drowned.
I know you don't care, I have personally asked your office for assistance but should you not bring this to the attention of the citizens of our community, we will have Live 5 News asking you why you didn't care.
