This will then cause such irresponsible drivers to have double car accidents instead (i.e., head on collision). Worse than that, bicyclists are now forced on to the road, increasing their risk of being struck by an automobile. I understand the strips for larger roads, but for the country roads, where bicyclist mainly ride, this can be deadly. I have attempted to ride on the right side of these on my bicycle, but ended up running over them to avoid debris, and destroyed a brand new tire. Yesterday, on my way home from work, I came upon yet another bicyclist struck by an automobile. Please, stop adding them to country roads. Thank you. Andrew
