You replied that "just because we were the lowest was no reason to raise it". Your answer was totally unacceptable. I just spent $500 getting the front mechanisms of my car repaired that were shaken loose on bad pot holes. Yesterday my landscaper lost a days work when his trailer hit a pot hole and tore the axle out of it. Our gas tax, not having been raised since the 1980's,while gas itself has tripled in price, is ridiculous. We need to raise the tax to repair the roads and bridges and you need the guts to stand up to the legislature or anyone against it and do the right thing. It is not important that you get re-elected. The important thing is that you do the right things while in office. If you do have the courage to act, you will be re-elected. Fred Sales
