I find it disgusting that in ((ANY)) state in the 20th century that the punishment for driving while drunk and injuring 15 in South Carolina is punishable by a fine of $467 or 30 days in jail ?? That fine equals a little over $31 per injured person!! What kind of message are we trying to send to people who drink and drive? Or more importantly to these 15 young people who have so many choices ahead of them? This accident happened in 2014 in Murrells Inlet SC. Wmbf newsdesk@wmbfnews.com (Students seek justice) 5/6/2016 My letter request is for these 15 students and their University (Coastal Carolina) to what changes in the law the state of South Carolina plans so that DRUNK DRIVERS in our state can NO LONGER pay a fine but FEAR the penalties of driving drunk. Thank You for your time and consideration Phyllis Thompson
