Hello,
I am requesting a pardon or expungement of my criminal record. I am attending Tri-county technical college to be a nurse and i have a criminal background that consist of quite a few misdemeanors and one felony(burglary) that happened in another state (Chattanooga, Tn) in 2004. I went to prison for four years and i got my was released (April 2008) on parole/probation. I applied for an interstate compact to south carolina,and was approved for it. My parole was transferred here where my charge was changed to armed robbery which is not correct. I completed 28 months on parole/probation without any new charges. In 2012 I was arrested for a bench warrant from 17 years ago i paid the money and was released. I dont know why my agent did not catch that charge when my case was transferred here. Also another warrant came up that was never served from 16 years ago while I was in the jail for the previous bench which was expunged. I admit that I made a lot of bad choices in my life but I have learned my lesson and I am hoping for a second chance. I have been an employee at Professional cleaners for almost 4 years, working less than 25 hours per week. I have been attending school since August 2011. Govonor Haley Please give me a second chance to do better with my life. I would have settled with being a certified nursing assistant but I coul not get in a class because of my record and I use to be one (cna) before my incarceration but that did not matter to the powers that be. I hope my circumstances matter to you.
