It came to mind that since you vetoed the funding for farmers that were effected by flooding, that the "buy local" produce and other products created or used by farming, ( honey, employment, taxes, machinery sales, etc) will become more expensive or nonexistent in our state.  I love to eat local...not products from Mexico, China, Central America and other foreign countries that are shipped here because our farmers cannot afford to raise them.  
  I was raised on a small farm, worked on it and enjoyed every second of reaping what we sowed.  Your choice sounds as if it came from a "City Kid" that does not know how much work, sweat and love goes into farming.  I will not vote for you, again, never.  Build beautiful schools but pay teachers a wage difficult to live on.  Fix the roads in Charleston and along the coast and leave our secondary and country roads go to nothing but shattered potholes.  Get out into the country, feel some dirt or try putting your own garden.  Not a simple task, but, apparently you probably don't even know what the price of foreign peaches are compared to our own delicious ones.  Respectfully, Mrs. Blackerby.
