While Haley was distracted by the flag issue and wanting to possibly get hired in DC at the federal level she and should have been finding money to spend on reinforcing our coastline with levee systems and doubling the height of sea walls all along our precious coast. It pisses me off that the governor's office would rather waste time removing a flag than protect our coastlines. I attended and graduated from the College of Charleston. Its' a travesty one of my favorite cities in the world is suffering due to inaction by our elected leaders. Your office has cost this state billions of dollars now. Its' unfortunate we can't rely on our governor while she continues to fail at her job on so many different levels. Please make it a priority to protect our great state. We have to live here too and I'd sleep better at night knowing my tax dollars are being spent wisely. Get your shit together and maybe good people won't suffer. Maybe our coasts can still be salvage and enjoyed in future, despite what has happened over the weekend. Was protecting our coastlines even on Haley's agenda? Do whatever it takes. Our state has been through enough this year. We serve better. Sincerely, Reed Brandt
