Dear Governor Haley,
I am submitting this document to request a Letter of Encouragement/Motivation, to The Brown &amp Leggett's First "Unity" Family Reunion. To encourage them to Stand Strong and Acquire Wisdom for the Next Generation. The event will be held the weekend of June 24-26, 2016, in Meridian, Mississippi. One of the main event, will be a tour to the countryside "Tracing Our Ancestor Footsteps". 

My 4x grandfather Peter Leggett was born about 1780s in South Carolina, per government and church records. He married Nancy Bethea who was born about 1780 in Virginia, and they later settle around Marlboro, South Carolina. Of this union we were only able to connected to two of the children (Julius(1819SC) and Sylvia(1819SSC)). Julius settle in North Carolina with his wife Arrena Bethea and Sylvia settle in Mississippi with her slave owner. Nancy lived to be 100 years old.

My grandmother Willie Mae "Brown" McWilliams' maternal great grandmother was Sylvia Leggett; her grandparents was Jerry(1845SC) and Hettie(1850AL-1892MS) "Walker " Leggett; mother was Lousinia(1864MS-1839MS) "Leggett" Brown.

I have done over 15+ years of research on our family ancestors and descendants. So far I have trace our ancestor back to 1780s, discovered over 3100 actually family members, and 400 pictures, that connect to this family. This has been a rewarding experience and an awesome accomplishment to unlock our family history.

My goal is to "Honoring Our Ancestors; by Uniting Our Family".
