I now live in a retirement community of people who are from the north who are so glad to be here. My neighbor wants to display the South Carolina flag and very proud to do so. They received an email that they have to remove it from their house. I know HOA rules are there to make our community to be a very beautiful place to live. I know there is a law for the US flag but I am very upset that I can not display my state's flag and so is my neighbor who has moved here from Connecticut. Is there anything that can be done? There has been all of this nonsense about the Confederate flag and it really had nothing to do with slavery. It is history just like everything else in this country. We can't erase history and we should not want to so why can I and my neighbor not display our state flag if we want to. Not on a flag pole, just on our house. Thank you for your time and consideration, Deborah C. Price, RN,RDMS
