I deeply resent the "Community activist" way this duly elected official goes about making and end around his responsibilities by telling people to petition you to remove that flag from all State premises. 
My sentiment is that any semi-reasonably intelligent people can research the history, origins and purpose of this emblem and rightfully divide that it had nothing to do with the cause they assign to it. To acquiesce to their cries is to throw away the integrity of those that died and fought (NOTE: Both Black &amp White) for it's cause.
I have become ill at the derogation of our great Republic to the end of perverting it into an actual democracy. I understand we have a Democratic process - but, I also understand that a Republic protects all interests by virtue of non-respective laws whereas the other represents all too often simple mob rule.
I feel you have done a great job thus far. You have my Support. You may differ with me still on this issue - but, I think you will see and have seen on any &amp all of the voices of the people of this Great State that we are proud of our heritage and understand it for what it is. We do NOT need this Slingblade Yahoo Character cowardly stirring trouble. 
If you can admonish him - it needs to be done.
