Just as people find it offensive to display the flag, I find it offensive that I who suffer from chronic severe cervical spine pain caused in a rear accident in 2010 and have painful fibromyalgia have to rely on spine injections and oxycodone which is highly addictive and have the option of getting a spinal implant stimulator that may not work for the pain and am not afforded equal medical treatment others in our state and other states are afforded. This inequality of limits placed on targeting specific health issues should be removed and the decision of who should receive the medical marijuana treatment be placed solely on a treating physicians decision. I am a former South Carolina and Ga. Law Enforcement officer as well as a South Carolina honorably discharged National Guard Veteran, I have no criminal history and a respected member of my community, I do not use illegal drugs, I'm a former drug task force agent, I participated as a law enforcement rep for the red ribbon campaign, I'm not some pot head looking for another high. I do believe by the studies I've researched that medical marijuana may or may not help people with my conditions or other conditions but that as a U.S. Citizen and South Carolina resident I am entitled to the same health care options without prejudice of what medical conditions I have which could help with my chronic pain. I'm out of work due to medical conditions with no income and in pain ... Can you please do the right thing and help amend the Law to extend medical marijuana use to all SC residents. You removed the flag so you could probably make anything happen!
