Holly Plant 224 Midland Ct. Bonneau SC 29431 joseph.harnage@centuryaluminum.com 8435652949 8432961718 ECON Century Aluminum Power Contract 12.156.103.194 Please help. These power negotiations between Santee Cooper and Century have apparently reached a stalemate and we are hoping you would be able to bridge the gap so we can continue to operate. There are so many young and middle-aged workers that depend on these jobs. Young people have small children and car and house payments. It is extremely difficult to start over when you are middle-aged. The community would be negatively impacted as well. I hope you would be able to help. Would you be able to supply some tax incentives where our tax bill could be deferred until metal prices rebound? Offer Century Aluminum a package were if they remain at full capacity for 5 years, the deferments could be wiped clean. The tax deferment could be based on the price of aluminum where when LME price is high, century pays more back and if it is low, the deferment is eliminated. There are numerous others paths that we could follow in order to create a win-win situation but nobody will win if the plant closes. Please Help.
