My name is Linda Brown-Coleman. I live at 2600 North Oakridge Circle, Ashley Heights Subdivision.  We have called Charleston County, North Charleston and State Departments to clean the ditch around our home, the ditch has water standing in them, snakes are in the ditch and little children play in the standing water that is in the ditch.  None of the three Municipalities assume responsibility for cleaning the ditches.  One ditch is on the side of our home at the end of the road behind the road end sign.  The second ditch is an outfall ditch in the back of our home located near the sewer line, SCE&ampG has right of way, County Sewer district has right of way.  Nobody will take responsibility to clean the ditches.   All the water from the subdivision comes to the ditch and sits.  The ditch needs to be dug deeper to elevate the problem.  The ditch on the side and back needs to be dug deeper.  The grass needs to be maintained and cut on a regular basis. If the ditches were maintained, we would not have a problem with standing water. This is the reason we pay our taxes.  We need better services. Please can you help?  Please let us know why we cannot get anything done.   We pay taxes for rainwater drainage, North Charleston Taxes, Charleston County Taxes and State Taxes, but they all gave use the run around.  This problem has been ongoing for years and it needs to be resolved.
