You are definitely a professional and know how to speak for our state and definitely speak for me. I just wanted to put a word in for a group that doesn't get mentioned who played a huge part in handing the pets at the shelter in Spartanburg. The Spartanburg County Community Emergency Response Team took care of the pets at the Red Cross shelter in Spartanburg. This is called our Disaster Animal Response Team division. CERT was prepared to handle the entire shelter but Red Cross was called in.It was started by Robbie Swofford of the Spartanburg Emergency Management Services. There are many CERT groups that have folded or didn't begin but we have trained over 1200 people in our county on how to take care of themselves during a disaster. If you have the opportunity to mention them, they would surely appreciate it. Thank you.
