Hampton Avenue Spartanburg SC 29306 sirmanstracy@yahoo.com 8645941038 JOBS South Carolina's Unemployment Office Bias and Discrimination Against Middle Class Working Woman 108.81.182.255 I applied for unemployment back in May when I was discharged (WITHOUT CAUSE) I can assure you, and applied for the help of unemployment to get me through while I aggressively sought out full time employment, which I finally obtained on July 5, 2016. I was not only hung up on several times by the Hearing Officer when it came time to speak my side of the discharge, but when I appealed, explaining in a four (4) page letter sent to Appeals of what happened at my hearing, they not only once again SIDED with the Employer, but reiterated EXACTLY WHAT THE HEARING OFFICER STATED. In other words, they did even read, let alone consider my letter of Appeal when making their decision to deny my Claim for the 7-8 weeks I was unemployed! I am not the first woman who has been denied unemployment. Apparently the Unemployment Appeals Board consults with the hearing officer, and based on the knowledge I obtained, DENIES the claims despite what anyone other than the employer states, but has a huge bias and discrimination problem with woman in general! Does Nikki Haley know how this governmental office is run? Does our Senator Lindsey Graham know? Does anyone in your governmental offices care that we, the middle class working woman are being denied claims based on "findings", which are one (1) sided, bias and discriminate against woman and the middle class working woman of South Carolina? I wonder if the news stations and/or newspapers would be interested to know about this discrimination? Is the State of South Carolina so low on their budget that Unemployment Officers are told to DENY DENY DENY any and all Claims for Unemployment? Maybe not, but I have a tape of what occurred, and I will be happy to let the Citizens of South Carolina make their own decisions about our government in this State. This is morally, ethically, and should be criminally wrong. I demand that my side be heard, and that I have my day to participate "fairly" in an unemployment hearing. There is not one of those Appeal Panel person(s), who are NOT Judge and Jury, would have liked to have found themselves in mine or thousands of others place of not having a job and wondering why, and not have even been afforded a "fair" argument, or to have their side heard! I remain yours, Most professionally, Tracy A. Sirmans
