I live in Walterboro, we have not had any power since last Saturday. We have Coastal Electric. They will not or cannot give us any idea when power will be restored. Meanwhile other friends and neighbors that are lucky enough to have SCEG had power restored on Sunday after the storm. When I returned home from work yesterday 10/11/2016 at around 3PM there were still roads closed and many trees and wires are still down. I have not seen any repair trucks in our area. This always is the problem with Coastal Electric Company no response or very slow response to any power outage in Colleton County, During the bad ice storm several years ago we had to go through this same ordeal. I do not understand how SCEG custoner get great respone and service and Coastal customers are always left hanging with no adequate help. Please inquire with Coastal as to how they operate as a company. Are they just cheap and not willing to help us customers? I have several neighbors with medical conditions that require power to live day to day. They have been told about the special needs neighbors several times in the past, but they seem not to care at all?
