ServSafe® Training for Foodhandlers

(CLEMSON, SC)---ServSafe Training for Foodhandlers, a 6-hour course designed to teach managers of food service operations the best methods and practices to protect food, is being offered by videoconference live from Clemson University at sites throughout the state on February 6 and 7, 2001 from 9 AM to 12 Noon.

Each site will be hosted by a certified ServSafe Food Protection Manager. Participants will see and hear Clemson University faculty present the training and interact with Clemson by phone. Topics include: Starting Out With Food Safety; Ensuring Proper Personal Hygiene; Purchasing, Receiving, and Storing Food; Preparing, Cooking, and Serving Food; and Cleaning and Sanitizing.

The cost is $20. Pre-registration is required. Upon successful completion of a final test, participants will receive a certificate. For more information, call the nearest Clemson Extension Service Office listed in the local phone directory.
