Healthcare.gov kept dropping my 15 year old off. I applied for CHIP as a result. No where on the state site does it give an eligible income level. I bought a policy for everyone but, 15 y old. I called healthcare.gov and they said that I had to get a denial letter from Medicaid that 15 was not eligible and that I would not get my letter till April 2nd or about. How come my child is now un-insurable from a program that he is not eligible for? He drives and who is now responsible damages should he be sickened or injured? I went to the local office and the first lady refused to write me a letter but, took copies of my tax returns. I then raised my voice and finally got a supervisor to give me a letter. How many other kids in South Carolina are deemed un-insurable because, state Medicaid can't seem to write denial letters for months? This is totally unacceptable. What are we supposed to do take the car away and put them in a padded room till Medicaid learns to write letters or sue the state every time another child is injured or sick because, the state made them un-insurable? I would also like to advocate for long-term care insurance tax break. How much would state Medicaid save in the long run?? Is South Carolina on the below list? If not, why not? The purpose of the convention will be to rein-in a federal "leviathan" that he says has overstepped its constitutional bounds. Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, two-thirds of the state legislatures can call a convention to propose amendments to the Constitution that limit the scope and jurisdiction of the federal government. Alaska, Florida and Georgia passed Article V resolutions last year. Two dozen other states are also considering that option. - See more at: http://www.teaparty.org/senator-coburn-convention-states-needed-washington-will-never-fix-87504/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=senator-coburn-convention-states-needed-washington-will-never-fix#sthash.M0UUvKbj.dpuf
