I am writing in support of Governor Haleys' nomination to the post of Secretary of State for the United States of America. I viewed you bio. and felt that your characteristics would help draw support for the post from the central Republican mainstream political hierarchy.

Also I feel that your gender and family heritage would make for an interesting combination when confirmed and you were to visit India and meet Prime Minister Modi. I feel that the United States needs to expand relationships with the "other" significant parts of Asia, and India plays a central role in the Ex-Japan and Ex-China Asian policies. India possesses significant economic and geopolitical beneficial characteristics in light of a more assertive China. Reflection on Nixon's overtures to China in the 1970's and how that changed the Soviet influence in Asia. Now overtures to India could help diffuse Chine's dominance in Asia.
