Dear Governor Haley,

I am Melinda Canter and am writing to you on behalf of National Coal Transportation Association.  We are an organization that represents the interest of those that transport coal be it rail, barge, vessel, truck, or stevedoring operation.  We will be celebrating our 42nd year as an association in 2016.  As you know the EPA has been difficult for our industry and the low natural gas prices have compounded an already difficult position.

Our annual Spring Conference will be held in New Orleans this April.  On behalf of myself, the Executive Director and our membership we would like to invite you to join us. Tuesday, April 12th or Wednesday, April 13th in the morning.

We would be so honored to have a woman who supports our cause and understands the issues.  I realize that your schedule is very busy, so I hope that providing the flexibility of two dates might be helpful.
