Associated Press

COLUMBIA--South Carolinians will be able to talk to Gov. Mark Sanford during a live cable program later this month.

An hour-long program, "Gov. Mark Sanford and the People," will be broadcast on July 24 at 7:30 p.m. The program is being put on by Time Warner Cable and the South Carolina Cable Television Association.

Residents can contact the governor by calling 1-800-277-3881 or e-mailing cablescetv.org.

The program "connects our citizenry with the democratic process," said Bud Tibshrany, vice president of public affairs for Time Warner Cable.
