Box 22086 Hillton Head Island SC 29925 joannedst3@gmail.com 843-384-4507 PCOR Violation of Civil Rights 64.203.198.76 Governor Haley, My son was arrested on Weds Oct 21, 2015. Upon his arrest he told officers of the Bluffton police department that he was suicidal. When they took him to Beaufort County Detention Center the officers told staff that Bryan Sewell was suicidal. Supposedly, he was placed on suicide watch. However shortly thereafter Bryan hanged himself. Upon finding him hanging someone cut him down but allowed him to fall or dropped him and busted his lip. He did survive, thank God! Bryan laid in the second suicide watch room until I arrived for his bond hearing. After Bryan was unable to come down for his bond hearing Colonel Grant then ordered him taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The hospital admitted him and placed him in ICU in fear of his life. He is now in the Psychiatric Unit of the hospital and will hopefully be committed to a long term Psychiatric hospital. I have spoken with your office before regarding my son's mental health. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. To add to my pain, the police took my laptop from Bryan upon his arrest but did not notify me and now have it in their custody. Governor Haley, I am a minister/Chaplin, life Coach and Paralegal which means there are many personal things stored on my computer which I have told Chief Reynolds and Deputy Chief Manning. I needed the materials today for a Memorial Service and will need them this week for upcoming sessions and workshops. Please speak with this department so that my items may be returned promptly. Sincerely, Minister Joanne Davis Taylor
