Good morning Katherine. If you are not the staff member who would handle this request, please send it to the appropriate person.

Soon, the students, parents, the principal, and a teacher from Sandy Run School will make their annual trek to the State House to celebrate LIBERTY DAY. We do not have a date for their visit; however, I am setting-into-motion a request for the Gubernatorial Proclamation. I believe this will be the 264^th anniversary of the birth of James Madison, “Father of the Constitution.”

The teacher who headed-up the annual visit retired; therefore, I am awaiting notification from the school to confirm a tentative date of March 26. For information, when a date is confirmed, I will inform Leigh LeMoine so that, should Governor Haley’s schedule allow, the small group can meet our governor. The group last year was able to meet Governor Haley - a highlight of their visit.
