I am so disappointed to your decision to remove the battle flag from the CSA memorial.   Those who are racist do not understand, that the war of northern aggression was not about slavery.  It was about state rights.  Lincoln, used the Emancipation Proclamation, as a political tool. He wanted a second term, and to keep the North committed to the war. Now you have decided, out of a knee jerk reaction to the Charleston killings, to remove history from the CSA monument and ' white wash " history. I have been a supporter of your political career however, I am no longer a supporter.  The polls were evenly split at 49/49 over the removal of the flag.   In a few weeks the controversy would have calmed and this would no longer be a " big "  issue. In my opinion, you fell to immediate opinion to grab a headline while the timing was focused on SC. Waiting to see would have been a better choice for the 49% of those who wanted to keep the flag in place.  This knee jerk reaction, to remove the flag has now made me doubtful that you have the talent to enjoy the position to which you have been elected.  I can no longer be a supporter, and in fact, politically I will now work harder, and offer financial support, to your opponents in the future.
