Governor Haley,

I just read an article, on the Foxnews website, about this administration's potential attempt to use "executive order" to move the terrorist detainees to the US homeland (including a brig near Charleston, South Carolina).  I have copied and pasted a section of the article below in capital letters for clarification...


"WHETHER STATES THAT RECEIVE DETAINEES OR OTHERS WOULD HAVE LEGAL STANDING TO CHALLENGE EXECUTIVE ACTION ON GUANTANAMO IS UNCLEAR BECAUSE THERE IS NO LEGAL PRECEDENT.

HOWEVER, CHARLES "CULLY" STIMSON, A HERITAGE FOUNDATION LEGAL SCHOLAR, POINTED OUT WEDNESDAY THAT PLAINTIFFS MUST SHOW "INJURY" OR HARM FOR A COURT TO SAY THEY HAVE LEGAL STANDING TO PROCEED WITH A CASE AND THAT A TAXPAYER SUIT OR ONE BY A LOCAL SHERIFF ON GUANTANAMO IS UNLIKELY."


Let me point out the obvious... If an investor/investment group was looking to open a business in the Charleston area (generating a large number of jobs and taxes) and then they pulled out after this administration made the announcement of moving the detainees to Charleston, then Charleston and South Charleston would both have "LEGAL STANDING" because both Charleston and South Carolina would have been injured/harmed by this administration's decision.

Please pass this concept onto Colorado and Kansas.
