Hi there,

We are a group of about 20 Indian professional families, with children, that meet every other Sunday in the school year. The organization was started about 10 years ago in the northern suburbs of Chicago.  The primary goal of the group is to promote continued cultural/traditional/religious awareness to the next generation. 

Each year we choose a topic for presentation, and this year we have chosen to focus on successful Indian Americans. We felt that it was important for our children to learn how Indian Americans have made an impact in all different aspects of the US life. 

My children would be presenting on Governor Haley. She is such an incredible role model for Indian Americans and especially girls. Personally, I have 2 daughters, and would like them to know that there are a variety of career paths available outside of the traditional jobs that Indian woman find themselves in. The fact that Governor Haley was elected in a Southern state, as an Indian American woman, and the first female governor speaks volumes. In the last few months she has dealt with the issues in her state with such grace and poise. 

I certainly recognize how valuable her time is, but wanted to see if she has any availability to spend 5 minutes with our group on the morning of 11/15/15.
