Dear Governor Haley,
I wish to thank you for your statement about the Confederate Flag flying at the State House.  All my life, I wanted to at least preserve what was to me simply an expression of pride in being a Southerner and just never understood that it really hurt anyone.  While I am not from South Carolina, I still was made able to see that your guidance is that which is correct and just the  plain right thing to do.
The warm way you spoke and the caring you exemplified meant more to me than anything.  You are a true patriot.  I wish our president(s) could speak with such moral authority and deep care for people.  A hypocrit is so easy to spot.  You are very, very real.
