Jennifer – please see below. Do you want to pass along to C. Haltiwanger?

Looks like he can use the Misc. Tariff ruling and  Tammie is setting up a meeting with him to introduce herself.

Good morning Guido,

Thank you for your letter addressed to Governor Haley expressing your Note of Appreciation and concern regarding the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill.  My colleague, Anita Patel, and I did some research and have some good news.  Please see the email below from the Office of Senator Lindsey Graham and the latest update.

I am now covering Sumter County as part of the S.C. Hi Anita and Tammie,

I hope your weeks are off to a great start!  Thanks for reaching out about the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill.  The House passed H.R. 4923, the American Manufacturing Competitiveness Act of 2016, by a vote of 415-2 on April 27th.  The Senate passed the House-passed bill by unanimous consent on May 10th and President Obama signed the bill into law on May 20th

Senator Graham is proud to be an original cosponsor of the Senate bill.  It took some time to get to this landing spot, but we are thrilled the MTB process has been reinstated.  SC companies, like EMS Chemie, can now move forward with the MTB process.  I’m more than happy to answer any questions you or SC companies have.

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance at all – Thanks!

Best regards,

JP
