As a Northerner whose ancestors fought for the Union during the Civil War and as a Civil War enthusiast, I urge you NOT to jump on the band wagon to ban the Confederate Flag.  Many of the Confederates served the US prior to and after the Civil War.

If the great state of South Carolina intends to ban the flag because of one murderous racist, then it should also ban Islam for their murderous racism.
