Easley SC 29640 madkat345@aol.com 864-313-2806 864-313-2806 TRAN Current moped bills I hope you will veto S296 requiring a strobe light for mopeds. I hope you will veto H3440 keeping mopeds off roads with a speed limit of 35mph or more. I hope you will veto H3003also. These are bills written by people with no knowledge of mopeds or the people who ride them. Not all moped riders are people with DUIs. I have students that ride them to school and their part time jobs and I have people on fixed income that cannot afford better transportation. Please ask someone in the business if you have questions about the mopeds or the people who ride them. These bills are just knne-jerk reactions to situations with automobile drivers that are distracted by their phones or the infotainment systems in the vehicles. What mopeds need is a speed limit raised to 35mph or 40mph so they can keep up with the flow of traffic. Thank you for your time.
