My concern as a South Carolinian is that our state stands down on the move to open public bathrooms to the opposite sex. It is a personal boundary that once legislated to be opened to any member of the other sex, will be difficult if not impossible to close. Vulnerable women, children, developing teens and the elderly need protection from those who would use this open door to prey upon them in any number of ways and they will. We cannot teach our children about stranger danger and then give those same strangers access to the bathrooms of our unprotected children. Please stand up for the vulnerable citizens of our state and not to the pressure from a few well meaning, but naïve citizens.
