Good Afternoon, I am honestly not sure what subject this falls under. However, I am very, very concerned that some 'small businesses' are able to get away with honestly, stealing from people. The business in question is actually in GA, I am a 100% disabled veteran, who contracted a company named "Red's Recovery" to tear down an old house, I paid him a deposit, signed a contract, He took doors and windows from the old farmhouse and then never came back. I have a list of emails where he dodged work, then agreed to refund my deposit of $800.00, but nothing ever came. Come to find out, he had a false contract, false address, everything. The worst part, he's still doing business under the same name and number, yet I can do nothing about this. The authorities won't touch it, 'not worth their time'. Can anything be done, or is this just a country that lets people steal from Veterans? Thank you for your time.
