In Charleston we had to reschedule The Citadel's Parent's Weekend to the following weekend. Unfortunately there are events already scheduled for that weekend like the Marine Corps Ball. When trying to rebook hotels the hotel that we were staying at would make no considerations for our change accept to cancel this weekends current reservation. Next weekend the prices are twice as high. For our hotel it was over $400. There are many families that will not be able to attend this special weekend with their Knobs transition to 4th Class Cadets and the 1st Class Cadets with the coveted Ring Ceremony. Do you have a way to keep these hotels from gouging prices for our families who are trying very hard to reschedule our plans to next weekend? There are already so many unexpected costs to our travel, time away from work, and time lost. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Cheryl Fortin Young 5YoungSailors@gmail.com (843) 222-4779
