<WFUD_Request>I work in a physician's office so I know all too well how the "system works"; however, I am contacting on my grandmother's behalf. Her name is Mary Lagrone, lives in Greenwood County. She was moved to a nursing home 09/16. We have been trying to apply for Nursing Home Medicaid since that date. She meets all qualifications to have been approved, just can't seem to get anyone in the Greenwood County office to help. We have been told that there is only one person, Kathy Dixon that can help with Skilled Facility Medicaid. Myself, my mother, &amp; aunt have left numerous messages, brought in required paperwork now three times because is was "lost". We do not know what else to do? She has been living in a nursing home for 4 months &amp; can not stay if the Medicaid does not become active soon. She is 89 years, has never asked for any financial assistance, and can not get help when she needs it? Are there any other suggestions that may help? 
As I stated before, I work in a physician's office, have worked in it for 16 years and see it all too often, when the people that truly need it, they most often do not get the help!</WFUD_Request>
