I applied for TEFRA Medicaid on his behalf. In the middle of November I mailed additional documents to be added to his case. On December 30, 2016 I contacted SC Medicaid to check on the status of his application. I discovered that Brenden has two different accounts/household IDs in the Medicaid system. One is 102065518 and another is 101393209. On one of those accounts my daughter and Brenden's sister, Katerina Burke, was listed as Brenden Burke's mother. On another account Brenden's date of birth had his mother's date of birth. None of the documents that I submitted via post mail had been added to neither accounts. Today I checked with Medicaid to ensure that all the inconsistencies had been corrected, and check when to expect the final decision of TEFRA eligibility. It appeared that additional documents, which I e-mailed on December 30, 2016, had been added to Brenden's account and other information had been corrected. Unfortunately, Medicaid agent was unable to provide me with the information on when we can expect the final decision on Brenden's TEFRA application. Meanwhile our family cannot afford all the co-pays and other expenses that treatment of Brenden's disability requires. I feel that all the inconsistencies with Brenden's application might unnecessary delay the final decision and TEFRA eligibility. Is there any way for your office to assist us in obtaining the information to when might we expect final TEFRA approval/disapproval for Brenden. It will help us to better plan our expenses and finances, as we cannot cancel any of Brenden's therapies because they are very helpful for him. Sincerely, Mariya Yaitska. 24.236.126.153
