First, you are to be commended for the work your administration has done for the State of SC. Keep up the good work! I am both a business owner in SC and a boat owner with two boats in Shelter Cove Marina. We love the "low country" for both our business and boating activities. Just recently, both Harbor Town Yacht Basin and the entrance to the marina at Southbeach have been dredged, resulting in tremendous improvement in both. Shelter Cove Marina is in similar need of dredging - one that may be getting as severe as either of those. I bring this to your attention only if the State of SC can possibly assist in this endeavor. I understand this is a very expensive operation, and I do understand this is a privately owned marina, but nevertheless serves as a tremendous tourist attraction as well as being one of the largest marinas in SC. Any assistance your office can bring to correct this situation would certainly be beneficial and appreciated! The Marina and the personnel there are second to none - with the exception of this situation which is rapidly becoming more severe on a daily basis. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to respectfully request your assistance.
