I was told that people were being brought in from out of state to help. We are an all volunteer water search, rescue and recovery team experienced in swift water rescue. I was surprised that we were not wanted to help with the rescue efforts. It just doesn't seem logical to turn down local, experienced help in a time of crisis. In the future I won't waste my time offering our assistance. I can't believe that experienced help that is free of charge was turned down.
