PO Box 485 Hardeeville SC 29927 tcurry@lcpaver.com 8432474290 LITI Serious Tax & County Issue's 216.16.215.81 To whom it may concern, Lowcountry Paver is the Southeast only family and American-owned hardscape's products manufacturer. We are a multi-million dollar operation that spends millions each in year our local economy and provides dozens of jobs for SC residents. Unfortunately, we are having very serious issues with Jasper County Dept of Taxation, as well as Jasper County law enforcement. We received approval to build a new 8,000 sf office and warehouse in Hardeeville and bought all the steel for the project which is sitting on my yard rusting an taking up space due to a tax issue from 10 years ago. I thought we had everything taken care of regarding this issue until yesterday when I received a call from the State Dept of Taxation telling me that the Jasper County elected official, who took 1.5 years to get to return my phone calls and certified letters, is not willing to cooperate, and without her cooperation, the States hands are tied. So as of right now, my business growth, and my new office/warehouse is on hold. I am at a dead end with this situation and need to get this behind me. If I cannot work something out with the State and county soon, I am going to have to hire an attorney an further delay the much needed new office. I am hoping that Governor Haley can help us get a faster resolution without getting attorneys involved.
