Good Morning,
I have several ideas and suggestions on how we would be able to immediately improve civilian and law enforcement interactions in a positive manner. 

I fear that all too often, a civilian's first interaction with law enforcement occurs with little information as to what should or should not happen from the perspective of both the civilian and law enforcement officer.  When anyone lacks knowledge of what is or isn't not expected of them or a law enforcement officer, it can lead to a negative experience regardless of the outcome.
 
I have several ideas on how simple training could be given to all SC residents through community outreach, DMV's, public schools, websites and any other acceptable platforms. This simple step will not fix everything overnight but any step forward in a positive manner could immediately improve civilian and law enforcement interactions. 

I hope to hear back from someone on the Governor's staff in regards to my suggestions on how to immediately improve civilian and law enforcement interactions.
