THE LAST CHANCE: Citizens can Purchase Mini-Bonds through November 9th
Columbia, SC – Treasurer Grady L. Patterson, Jr. today said sales for South Carolina mini-bonds to private citizens has been a success so far. "With current market conditions, we have done well providing South Carolinians this great investment opportunity," Patterson said. "Many of our citizens have already realized the benefit of buying a piece of South Carolina,"
As of Tuesday, November 2nd, sales of mini-bonds were 22% higher than the most recent mini-bond sale offered in 1997. "I am encouraged by the results thus far," Patterson stated. "We have sold $11,243,600 so far, and our biggest returns have always come in the last few days.
"People need to know that the last day for procuring mini-bonds is Tuesday, November 9th. We will not be able to take any purchases after 5:00 p.m.," Patterson concluded. "If the citizens of South Carolina want a safe, smart, and profitable way to invest for college or retirement, mini-bonds are an excellent alternative. But, time is running out"
Mini-bonds can be purchased in the State Treasurer’s Office on the first floor of the Wade Hampton Building on the Statehouse grounds in Columbia.
