The family court in her town will not allow her to return to SC with her little boys. She receives no child support from the father, and he only wants to see them every other weekend because of court order. Her entire family lives in Sumter. We can help her get a job and a place to live if she were here. I know you are busy, but I love my little sister. It's hard to be so far away. I can't help her in New York, but I can help her here... Thanks for your time.... Jacob Brown Hello, My name is Virginia Beardsley and I am a mother of two little boys who are my world. I have sole custody and placement of my boys and they see their father every other weekend. Currently, I live in New York State. Last year I lost my job when I was in a car accident and was unable to get to work. I petitioned the courts to allow me to return to SC where my family is in an attempt to provide for them and take care of them. The courts denied my request and I am still here, even though I have only been able to obtain temp work since this has started (the latest job ended last Monday). To say that times are tough for me seriously understates the situation. I have no family up here to help me in any way and I am currently not receiving any financial help from the boys' father. We are living in a tiny 2 bedroom house with the help of Section 8 and the grace of God. Both of my children have an interest in sports and want to be able to participate in any way they can. Unfortunately, this costs money not only for registration, but also for gas to and from practices and games but also any equipment they may need. In South Carolina, I have a 3 bedroom home waiting for me and my children to live in on a 150 acre farm that I grew up on. I have job prospects with friends of the family (all though none want to give anything in writing because they don't want to be held liable in case the positions fall through). I would not have to receive Section 8 for long if I need it at all. I have a very large extended family in South Carolina of hard working, God-fearing, and honest people. My father and brother both coach baseball in the parks and recreation department and are eager to teach my children about it and other sports. We all just want to do what's right. I don't want to flee the state without the courts permission because that would be breaking the court order and therefore breaking the law in the eyes of the court. However, I do not know how much longer I can survive in New York without something giving way. I am scared on a daily basis of whether I will be able to keep the power on and put food on the table this week. I want to be able to support my children on my own without help. I don't like being a burden on society and it hurts me to be seen with contempt because I do receive assistance now. Can you help me in any way or direct me to the right resources to rectify this situation? Thank you for your time, Virginia Beardsley 18 1/2 Arthur Ave Cortland,NY 13045 607-591-6322
