Governor Selects Dept. of
Probation Nominee |
(Columbia-AP) -- Governor Mark Sanford has
named an Orangeburg businessman as his nominee to run the Department
of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services.
Samuel Glover is
director of youth services for the South Carolina Air National
Guard. He runs programs designed to help at-risk boys and girls
become productive citizens.
Sanford says he was attracted by
Glover's experience as a small businessman and a his military
experience.
Glover formerly ran a dry cleaning business and
operated five fast-food restaurants in the Columbia
area.
Glover says he like's Sanford's approach to
